About Las Vegas Stripwalker

On average, 17,700 people are walking on the Strip at any given hour on any given day. During peak times there are as many as 40,000. (Source: Las Vegas Sun)

During 2010, once a day -- rain or shine -- I will walk from Mandalay Bay to the Fashion Show Mall and back while wearing your t-shirt -- up one side of the Strip and down the other. Some days I'll go the opposite direction. Sometimes I'll go through the casinos and sometimes I'll stay on the street but I'll always go where the crowds are.

I'll do a short video promo for each advertiser and I will document my walks every day through video, pictures, blog and various social media outlets (twitter, facebook, etc.). I'll also track my route in real time via GPS.

A portion of the proceeds are donated to local charities

Dan Strong, the Las Vegas Stripwalker

About Dan

Being born and raised in Vegas, stripwalking is something that comes naturally to Dan. A Graphic Artist and Web Developer by trade, Dan has worked in the Advertising and Marketing fields since 1992 for such companies as The Sands (now the Venetian), The Rio Hotel & Casino, Casino Player Magazine, Citadel Broadcasting and the M Resort. Early in his career he wrote and did illustrations for an alternative weekly called SCOPE Magazine, which eventually became the Las Vegas Weekly and he played bongos in a band for an entire song in a bar one night. Dan currently lives in Las Vegas with his very patient wife Emily and their dog.
